Quality assurance in data-driven manufacturing

We examine the value chain with a clear focus on the challenges posed by time and cost pressures as well as the shortage of skilled personnel. The emphasis is on innovative approaches to increasing efficiency through the digitalization of production data and the development of interconnected ecosystems. This event provides an ideal opportunity for those interested to learn more about the importance of Industry 4.0 and data-driven solutions, and to exchange ideas with experts on forward-looking innovations.

Manufacturing Metrology

The precision metrology laboratory at the IFT is divided into the fields of optical and tactile measurement technology. While optical measurement systems operate without contact and use only light as a physical quantity, tactile measurement methods involve direct contact with the workpiece surface by means of a probe.

The laboratory is equipped with an air-conditioning system that allows precise temperature control at 20 °C ± 0.5 °C. In addition, humidity is continuously monitored to ensure stable environmental conditions. These controlled conditions minimize sources of error and enable measurements under nearly identical physical conditions, ensuring high reproducibility of the measurement results.
